EVALUATION OF THE DESIGN OF RETAINING WALLS ON THE ROAD SUKABUMI (BAROS) - SAGARANTEN KM BDG 115+200

<p>The Sukabumi (Baros) – Sagaranten Km Bdg 115+200 road section which is located in Regency a for the province of West Java. Because always damaged due to being eroded by water infiltration rice fields that seeps into body area at location and soil tends be unstable based on results lab tests having shear angle value 4.99ᵒ specific gravity 17.45, then it carried out analysis existing retaining wall design new gabion-type location. The gabion building will designed with 3 designs, first using stone volume 13 m3, second 8 m3 third 6.5 m3. Based calculation Rankine theory, was found unable withstand shearing force got check 1.18 should have SF > 1.5, while plan buildings appropriate value, namely against overturning force, bearing capacity.</p>
